Evangelism in the Middle East| Ministry Partner Grant

ALYSSA HAMMETT

Donate

When you donate to the Evangelism in the Middle East Grant, you help to provide a means to send Alyssa, a missionary with a growing network of Latino believers, to Turkey and the Middle East this April to strengthen Houses of Prayer, support long-term workers, and share the love of Christ in communities that have little access to the Gospel. This grant covers her airfare, accommodations, ground transportation, and the resources needed to support local ministry efforts—including intercession, pastoral care for field workers, worship gatherings, and evangelistic outreach. Your gift directly empowers Alyssa’s mission of service, prayer, and partnership in one of the most spiritually significant regions of the world.

This grant meets the following criteria as outlined in the Alabaster Foundation Criteria for Ministry Partnership:

  • Alyssa is actively working to expand the Kingdom of God through the activities and daily discipleship of Latino missionaries and youth in Guatemala.

  • Alyssa is a full-time missionary living and serving in Guatemala.

  • Alyssa is serving under the leadership and oversight of Adventures in Missions in Guatemala and processes fundraising the Adventures in Missions accounting team based in the USA.

Meet Alyssa.

With nearly a decade of missions experience, I’ve spent the last four years serving in Guatemala, focusing on community development and discipleship in rural villages. I’m especially passionate about equipping and sending Latino missionaries to the Middle East—stirring a hunger in them to carry the Good News to hard-to-reach places.

My hope is to see the youth of Guatemala rise as a generation of missionaries, partnering with local churches and pastors to strengthen the Body of Christ throughout Guatemala and Latin America in reaching the unreached. Ultimately, every effort is devoted to one purpose: hastening the return of the Lord.

Why the
Middle East?

Her calling to the Middle East was ignited after witnessing the radical surrender of Guatemalan believers and experiencing her first trip to Turkey. She carries a deep conviction that the completion of the Great Commission will be marked by a move of God in the Middle East—that Jesus will return there, and that a Spirit-led revival among Muslim nations will spread across the earth.

She also carries a burden for the reconciliation of Isaac and Ishmael—believing that God desires to restore what has been divided and awaken hearts across the region.

  • Nearly all of the open doors in the Middle East have come through personal relationships. Connections are formed through trusted contacts, word-of-mouth, and long-standing ministry friendships. This relational approach allows the teams to serve in places where credibility, honor, and humility matter deeply.

  • She plays a key leadership role within a growing network of Latino missionaries. Her work includes mentorship, pastoral care, and the administrative responsibilities of a field team leader. In Guatemala, she also helps prepare and “canvas” ahead of future trips—raising up and sending teams who are spiritually ready and missionally equipped.

  • While overseas, the team’s primary focus is partnering with and strengthening Houses of Prayer—places where worship and intercession prepare the way for the Gospel.

Missionaries also provide vital support to long-term workers who often labor in spiritual “desert places,” isolated and in need of encouragement. Teams serve wherever needed: worship, evangelism, intercession, practical ministry, and supporting the rhythms of the local field.

  • In 2022, she led her first team to Turkey. During their time in Pergamum, they met the only known believer in the city. As the team ministered to the Lord in worship and prayer, new doors opened. That single believer received fresh vision for a House of Prayer, and soon others began to gather.

From one faithful seed, a small community of Christians has begun to blossom—praying together, worshiping together, and carrying the light of Christ into their city.

How You
Can Pray

As you consider supporting this grant financially, we ask you to also join us in prayer. Here are a few specific ways to lift this trip before the Lord:

  • Outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the Middle East
Pray for a move of God that softens hearts, awakens hunger for truth, and prepares the region for the Gospel—especially in the cities and communities the teams will visit.

  • Strengthening of Houses of Prayer
Ask the Lord to establish and strengthen Houses of Prayer across Turkey and the surrounding nations. Pray that these hubs of worship and intercession become catalysts for revival.

  • Encouragement for Long-Term Missionaries
Intercede for the workers laboring in spiritually dry and isolated places. Pray for refreshment, protection, and renewed vision as teams come alongside them.

  • Mobilization of Latino Missionaries
Pray for the rising wave of Latino believers answering the call to the nations. Ask the Lord to prepare, equip, and provide for each person she will mentor and lead.
    Kingdom Connections & Open Doors
Pray for divine appointments, supernatural favor, and relational trust as the team builds new partnerships across the Middle East through word-of-mouth networks.

  • Unity & Reconciliation
Declare God’s heart for the reconciliation of Isaac and Ishmael. Pray for healing, restoration, and a breaking of generational divisions across the region.

  • Protection & Covering Over Every Trip
Ask for spiritual, emotional, and physical protection over travel, logistics, and ministry assignments—especially for the teams she will lead in April and the months ahead.

  • Fruit That Remains
Pray that every outreach leads to lasting transformation: salvations, discipleship, new believers strengthened, and communities equipped to continue the work long after the teams return home.

  • Provision for All Financial Needs
Seek God’s favor for every dollar needed to send her and the teams. Pray for generous partners who catch the vision and sow into the mission.

  • Hasten the Return of the Lord
Pray that this work contributes to the global fulfillment of the Great Commission—preparing the way for Jesus to return.
