Campus Improvement | Ministry Partner Grant

FAMILY CHURCH

Your donation to the Family Church Campus Improvement Grant helped send a team of 11 volunteers to Lawrence, Kansas to complete much-needed upgrades to the church campus and worship center. Your donation directly supported this effort by covering flights, ground travel, team meals, supplies for evangelism, contracted audio/visual professionals, material costs for improvements to the front entrance and front lobby, as well as a new stage and lighting design. These renovations made the church’s environment more welcoming and drastically improved both the in-person and online worship experience for the congregation.

This grant meets the following criteria as outlined in the Alabaster Foundation Criteria for Ministry Partnership:

  • Family Church is actively working to expand the Kingdom of God through the active and daily discipleship of both their congregation and the local community.

  • Pastor Ron and Vicki Channell are full-time missionaries living and serving in Lawrence, Kansas.

  • Family Church has provided documentation demonstrating their current non-profit status with the IRS.

Family Church, led by Pastor Ron and Vicki Channell, is a place “where hope is found and miracles happen”. Situated in Lawrence, home of the University of Kansas, the church plays a vital role in the spiritual life of this diverse community. To further their mission of nurturing disciples and advancing God’s Kingdom, the church is due for upgrades to its facilities.

Planned Upgrades.

  • Front Entrance

    Dimensionally cut vinyl lettering on the doors, new exterior lighting, new potted planters and new landscape lighting.

  • Worship Center Entrance

    Fresh paint on the walls, branded dimensionally cut vinyl on the walls and new wayfinding signage for classrooms.

  • Front Lobby

    Fresh paint on the walls, new seating area, faux plants and branded church values posters.

  • Information Desk

    Fresh paint on the walls, new signage and new area rug.

  • Stage & Lighting Design

    Modern stage and lighting design. Professionally planned and installed by contracted A/V professionals.
